Destination Conference and Incentive (DCI) is based on the Gold Coast, Queensland and provides over 30 years of experience and knowledge in managing conferences and events.

During the past 17 years the Team have successfully managed numerous national and international conferences, and conducted the streamlined implementation of conference cruises and special interest tours.

The Team are proud that most DCI business is sourced via repeat and referral business. Why does this happen? Along with a professional management team offering inside knowledge of the hotel and travel industry, DCI provides negotiating expertise to ensure the best value for client events.  The Team continuously evolve the DCI service standards to ensure they exceed expectations. This, combined with the onsite logistical skills and passion ensures a successful event every time.

Our Team

Kerrie Wise (CEM)
Event Director

Kerrie has 20 years experience in the hotel and hospitality industry.  Over the past 13 years she has built on this to create an outstanding Conference Management business.

Kerrie will handle the preparation of your conference business plan and critical path planning schedule; development of the conference program; preparation of the marketing schedule; speaker program and call for papers and theme planning. She has extensive knowledge in developing sponsorship packages in line with your conference budget.

Greg Mitchell
Managing Director 

Greg has 35 years’ experience in financial management in both the medical and hospitality industries. Greg oversees the financial management of each Conference, he has a proven method when it comes to the process of formulating a working Conference budget, Conference cash flow and the strategic management of all financial areas. He also assists in sponsorship development and works with the team towards exceeding the sponsorship budget.

Hope Mitchell
Management and Administration

With a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Finance behind her Hope brings to the DCI team 10 years’ experience in  the hospitality industry where she has taken on both supervisory and coordinator roles for a large variety of events and functions.  Hope provides back up financial support when required and is heavily involved in the registration process, assists with preparation of collateral requirements and is an integral part of the onsite management team.

Jenni Mitchell
Administration

Jenny has been involved with DCI for the past 3 years and supports the management team with her administration skills. Jenny manages the client reporting, meeting minutes and all onsite collateral requirements. Most importantly oversees the Delegate Registration set up and systems while onsite at each event.

Contractor and Additional Staffing.

DCI regularly work with a number of event management contractors who provide additional professional and experienced staff to assist onsite management when required. This ability to bring in additional staff provides cost effective personnel flexibility for your conference. We pride ourselves in providing additional team members who are studying event management, giving them the necessary work experience and opportunity to gain further skills.
